1099Work Ledger — Privacy Policy

The short version: 1099Work Ledger does not collect, transmit, or share your personal data. Everything you enter stays on your device. We have no accounts, no analytics, and no tracking.

Who We Are

1099Work Ledger is developed by Small Animal Surgeries, Inc. This privacy policy explains how the app handles your information on both iOS and Android.

What Data the App Stores

1099Work Ledger stores the following data in a local database on your device:

Your business profile (name, address, email, phone, logo)
Client information (names, addresses, contact details, rates)
Invoices, estimates, and line items — including any signatures captured on an estimate
Business expenses, receipt photos, and mileage entries
Other income records
Estimated-tax set-aside settings and the payments you record
Service items, invoice templates, and item bundles

All of this data is created by you within the app and is stored entirely on your device. The developer does not have access to any of it.

Backups You Control

The app can export a complete backup archive of your business data. The backup is created on your device and handed to the system share sheet — it goes only where you choose to save or send it (for example, your own files app or cloud drive). The developer never receives a copy. Restoring a backup happens entirely on-device.

Photo Library & Camera Access

The app may request access to your photo library or camera solely so you can add a business logo for your invoices or attach receipt photos to expenses. Images are stored locally on your device. No images are uploaded or transmitted anywhere.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, the app schedules local reminders on your device — overdue-invoice alerts and quarterly estimated-tax date reminders. These are generated entirely on-device; there is no push-notification service and nothing is sent to a server.

App Content Updates

At launch, the app may check for updates to its own app content (bug fixes and improvements) using the EAS Update service operated by Expo. These requests contain only technical parameters needed to serve the right update — such as platform, app version, and update channel. They contain no personal data and no advertising identifiers. Like any web request, the update server may briefly process your device's IP address to deliver the response; see Expo's Privacy Policy for details.

What We Do NOT Collect

To be completely clear, 1099Work Ledger does not:

Collect any personal data
Use analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs
Display advertisements
Require user accounts or login
Transmit your business data to any server
Share data with third parties
Sell data of any kind

Data Retention & Deletion

Since all data is stored on your device, you have full control over it:

You can delete individual records (clients, invoices, estimates, expenses) within the app at any time
Deleting the app from your device removes all locally stored data
Backup archives you exported are yours — delete them wherever you saved them

Children's Privacy

1099Work Ledger is a business tool designed for independent contractors. It is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to This Policy

If we make changes to this privacy policy, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Since we do not collect any contact information, we encourage you to review this page periodically.
